If you’ve ever driven any Acura car, you know just how powerful and athletic these vehicles are. And for even better performance, you can go with the Acura Type S trim, which ups the ante in terms of power and agility. The Type S configuration is available in several models.
Acura TLX
The base engine in the Acura TLX is a 272-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter configuration.
With the Acura TLX Type S, you’ll get a 355-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. It also has Brembo brakes, an adaptive suspension, and 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
Other Type S features include front sport seats with 12-way power-adjustments, leather and suede upholstery, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Acura MDX
While the base engine in the Acura MDX is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, the Acura MDX Type S comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that puts out 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
Front Brembo brakes and 21-inch wheels are standard. It also comes with leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and a 25-speaker sound system.
Acura NSX
The Acura NSX Type S offers a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors that combine to produces a very impressive 600 horsepower and 492 lb-ft of torque. It also has a limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and staggered 19- and 20-inch wheels. Leather upholstery with Alcantara accents comes standard, as do power-adjustable and heated seats.
